I could get use to hunting Tot-lots :)

Hello all,,,
I have been hitting a few of the Tot-lots and play areas at some of the local parks lately. They've been pretty good to me so far. The third signal I came across the other day was a small, short, blip reading foil. I dug down to a depth of about 4" and out pops the nice little Wedding Band?. I guess that's what you would call it. It's marked 14K and has the letters "TW inside of an oval"? next to it... My second gold for the year.


Another nice surprise was a 1956/D wheat cent. Although, it too was at a depth of about 4", I can't help but to think it hadn't been there too long. It still looks brown. I don't think I had ever found a brown wheatie while detecting. I thought this was an odd find for the wood chips...


The last pic shows the $1.82 in clad along with a memorial cent that has been holed. I think I might stick it onto my detecting belt for luck...


I slept under the fan the other night and developed a pretty good cold and my eyeballs have been watering way too much to read the forum, so I'm going to try and do some catch up after posting. Hope to see ya there...

Cool ring, have only found one piece of gold this year a small dolphin charm.

Looks like you found a good place to go. Remember it and go back in a few weeks, most of the time they replenish themselves, if people are still using them.

The penny is a 1974D and it looks to be made of copper. I don't see any of the zinc showing where the hole was punched... Looks like someone was playing with a punch press. the hole doesn't seem to have any particular reason for being there..
