I Can't Stop Looking at this Victorian Era Piece
Hello All. I found this yesterday and posted it on "Today's Finds" with a lot of other stuff this morning...but I cannot stop admiring this item dug at a 1900's home site so I decided it needed its own thread.
When it came out of the hole it was just a solid piece of dirt and I thought "interesting but probably just another unremarkable find"...it sure cleaned up great...I am stoked.
My apology for posting it two times but you gotta admit it is a sweet one...(according to my wife) my best Victorian piece to date...wish I had the other half.
BTW my wife says it is correctly termed a "Butterfly" buckle not a "Sash" buckle...she says sash ones have a more complete surface..
Thanks and good luck out there. C9
