I can't get anyone to order boxes of halves for me

I am a member of Bank of America and as of today TD Bank and neither of them will let me order boxes of halves. They both tell me they have no use for them so they can't order me any. Anybody else have this problem or maybe a solution? I've been to 3 BoA that tell me they won't and I even tried to buy the bag of halves from the Penny Arcade at TD Bank today after I filled the machine up and they wouldn't let me.

Td Won't and cannot order halves.. Bank of America would never order for me either so I can relate, but I do think others have had better luck.. IMO you should try small local branches.. Walk in and sit down with the head vault teller or manager and tell them you are a collector looking to order boxes of halves for your hobby.. Tell them you are interested in opening an account, but only if they will order you half dollars weekly.. This way you put the ball in their court.. They will have an incentive to order for you because they want you to open an account with them.. Good luck..

I am a member of 4 different local credit unions. I think customer service with a credit union is better overall and since I started this last month, I have had multiple branches of all 4 credit unions offer to order me halves when I walked in and they had none on hand. I you can, give a credit union a shot.

tell them you are closing your account, if they dont do anything close your account and go join a bank that will order them

problem solved

I disagree.. TD and Bank of America can be used as great dump banks.. Keep them open for that purpose, just find a bank that will order for you..

That's not a bad idea. Since BoA doesn't have a use for them and won't order them for you, deposit them into your account there.

That's what I do, and 1 branch wouldn't take rolled coin for cash so now I order from them. Don't just cut off a bank you have an account at already, use them for something else. HH, Maverick.

Last week I took afew hundred dollars of rolled halves to the local BOA and they asked if I was a coin collector. When I told her yeah she said if I bring them in again they won't take them, seems that most BOA around here have a problem with me buying coins.
