Re: I can't find anything

Pile of snow you got there Larson. That stuff probably stays on the ground a looong time as far north as you are. We still have several inches but temperatures are supposed to reach 50 in the next couple days. I'm hoping to get my first 2010 hunt in real soon.

Re: I can't find anything

I kind of feel sorry for you but, not too sorry. You find TOO MUCH STUFF anyway! Lol!

Re: I can't find anything

Look at it this way...that frozen gound is pushing new artifacts toward the surface and the runoff from that snow will erode more dirt uncovering even more artifacts. Take the time to catalog you MANY finds with your feet up by the fire. :icon_thumright: :icon_thumleft:

Re: I can't find anything

Archer66 is right, if I go outside on a calm night and listen, I can hear the artifacts popping out of the ground at the rate of 3 or 4 per minute
I think 2010 will be a good year
thanks, larson1951

Re: I can't find anything

I have the same problem here Lars, only a little worse. These pics were taken on the west side of Sioux Falls. We probably wont see dirt till April.

Re: I can't find anything

Oh man if you guys did not live in artifact heaven I would consider a warmer climate. That a heap of snow ya'll got there :laughing7: You guys will be slaying the fields before long. Larson is setting his plow deeper than he ever has

Re: I can't find anything

I feel your pain, I live in Florida and we had 4 nights below freezing last week! My bananna trees are in bad shape, but 75 today! You needed that snow to slow you down a bit and maybe some can catch up! ;D
