I can't find a name to match this logo

I found this long sterling chain (4 feet - 28.9g) at an estate sale. Really nice shape-probably never worn or worn once. I found a logo on the little spring lock bar on the clasp. It looks like a P with an interlocking C - much like the Chanel logo, but with a p instead of a backwards C.
I can't find a Pierre Cardin match. Maybe they are nobodies. I have found that knowing and listing the designer's name in ebay auctions makes all the difference in the world. I searched, but found nothing. Any help would be appreciated. Here's one relevant pic and a bonus bling pic . . .

Yea, I gotta do something about the color shift of the lights I use. Anyway I think I've got it figured out and you are on the right track. I think this is 6mm x 8mm flat link bulk chain with clasps attached. Once I realized I didn't have a designer piece I pulled out the silver test acid and it is indeed sterling silver. It's not tangled, I've got pictures of it looped and swirled. I don't know why I chose the "heap-o-chain" for the bling pic. I guess the PC is just the clasp makers mark.
