The real telltale on your "diamond" is that you can see through it. You can't see through a real diamond. Put it over text, and you'll see what I mean.

Looks like tumbled glass.
If you are looking for diamonds a diamond tester is cheap and accurate. Works on raw or polished and faceted diamonds.

Don't think diamond. What state was it found in? Looks more like a topaz crystal due to the shape.

Diamonds are hard. You can't scratch a diamond. Diamonds will cut glass. Test it and see what it does.

Topaz will also scratch glass.

Scratching glass doesn't mean much....lots of minerals will scratch glass. On a clear find like that, the "see through" test is all you need, to eli9minate it as a diamond. But, passing the "see through" test, doesn't mean it IS a diamond, either.
