Nothing too special except for the amount of them. I think there is around 200 or so in total.
They were all glued to old display boards so it took a while to get them off without scratching them up. The best ones are the #2,3,4 photos.

There were a few non political pieces including several Worlds Fair pins, a WW2 Navy dog tag, a ruptured duck button, a tie clip with an Indian Head cent and a small piece of the Berlin Wall also glued to it.

I think that is a pic of FDR. My dad is a HUGE political button collector. Will ask him to look at everything.

Cool stuff. I remember getting a few of them when I was a kid.

This post is like strolling through Memory Lanel

Thank you for posting.

Some:icon_scratch: Looks more like a bunch.

Some nice history, congratulations! :occasion14:

So here is what my Dad said:

- button collectors are really finicky....condition is everything

#2 pic
- World's Fair pins should be $30-$40 range
- MacArthur pin/ribbon/key chain thing is interesting (upload a close up if you want to)
- Remember Pearl Harbor pin is good

#3 pic
- IKE pins are common, but oval yellow and green pin is very unique (It's also in the first pic....can you upload a close up?)

#4 FDR
- Roosevelt & Wallace pin about $20
- Pins he's never seen before: Roosevelt pin with the shield, Victory Landon pin, Roosevelt Booster
- other pins that are good: 1937 May Day pin, Carry on With Roosevelt is interesting but pin is in poor condition
- square picture is a young Roosevelt

Hope this helps. He wanted to know what you paid for the lot.

Thanks for the added info. Bill. The button is a 1932 Tinley for Vice President. The victory Landons are common. Price was $125 for the lot, talked down from $175 and I had them throw in an old IHOP menu. I was focusing on the Worlds Fair pins, the Pearl Harbor, MacArthur and some of the Roosevelt pins. I have a bunch of Kennedy and newer pins somewhere that I can add to the lessor valued ones in lots to get rid of them whenever I do get to it.
