Sometimes Our bank has Silver coins and i asked if they had any but they didn't. She said all I have is this ratty looking $10 bill. If you want you can have it for $10... So not the best looking but I'll take it for 10 bucks! I'm very happy!!

I remember being a cashier and finding one of these...It was so green compared to the other $10.

Great score! After straightening out the bends, folds and crimps and placing it between the pages of a very thick and heavy book for many months, it should come out look pretty decent.

According to my reference that note is the more rare of the 1934A printing with only 660,000 printed

Thanks. Where do you get that info from? Too bad it's not in better shape. But at least now it's protected from future damage.

Beachkid - you dont ask if they have silver, you ask for them to "exchange for pre '65 coinage." Don't you know anything??? :laughing7:

Oh, the manager told me to say that. Or funny money. I dunno. She likes my daughter so she saves it for us.

Lol it is a screenshot of my online copy of Standard Guide to Small-Size U.S. Paper Money i just wanted to help you out but you have to pay for it, you can either pick it up a local bookstore or buy it online. Its extremely helpful with modern currency because its straight forward and well organized, there are some free online references but in my experience they are very confusing.
