It seems as though I'm never going to find anything....lol. Every time I go out with my MDer all i come back with is a fue pennies. i have been to old sites in the middle of nowhere. like today i went to a 100 year old church 20 miles from any town. In the middle of the country and all i found was two lousy penny's. Grrr it seems as though I'm never going to find squat... :(

Bryan is that the way silent bob would think ?
Keep at it the finds will come.Try a school yard they are always good for some great finds .keep at it and don't lose fate

hang in there bryan. the detector gods reward persistance! if you just keep at it the good stuff will turn up.remember...half of the fun is in the hunt itself. even if you dont find much at first it still beats the hell out of work! something great will pop out when you least expect it!

OBI WAN: "He will learn patience."

Like NE Hunter said, try some school yards, sports fields, parks, etc. Sometimes the obviously old places never had much activity or were hunted pretty hard. Practice in your back yard with sample targets to make sure you and the detector are working correctly, and most important, keep trying. May the force be with you.

Bryan, don't give up! I've been doing this for just over a year, and it took me 3 months to find my first really nice find. The longer you keep at it, the better your finds will be. Beep Goes On - You killed me with that Star Wars quote, lol! The force is strong with you!

Hey Bryan, like everyone here is saying more or less is that it take's time....learn that MD and they will come, believe me,I've had more bad day's than good as most of us have.Stick with it and it'll happen dude.......PATIENCE GRASSHOPPER

NOOOoooooo....don't get disheartened! It gets easier! I promise!

Keep looking!

;)

Bryan,

Hang in there, you will find something yet...just don't give up.

Believe me, when you find it, we will hear you loud & clear.

HH ;)

Bryan, don't underestimate the Force. The Force can have a strong influence on the weak-minded.

Whatever that means...anyways don't get down. There's a lot of coins out there waiting for you to rescue them. ;)

I look at it like this.Dirt fishing is not as easy as it use to be.But persistence will soon payoff for you.Im disabled been this way for about 4 yrs now.The only way i get any exersize is going MDing. and it can get pretty rough for me. I have to take a lot of breaks while dirt fishing. But over all the biggest treasure i find is just getting out of the house and just looking at the world around me.Its been about 3 yrs now since i found my last silver coin.Heh , ther out ther .I just havnt done the research that needs to be done to find the right places lately.Any way, it will come just be persistant.

Research is the key. For example if coin hunting is your thing I would go to place's llike Church Camps, old swimming holes, and old fords on the creeks and rivers. Also back in the day Baptism's were held on the rivers. I would bet most of the old places close to towns have been hunted a few times before you got there. Good luck. Tsgman

I know the feeling, I think we just have to find the right locations. Hang in there and all good things will come, or at least that's what I'm hoping. Mike F.

when i golf and am not having alot of fun, i reach for a few brews out of the the old golf bag.......then i always have a better time. keep it up though......if you could see the stuff under ground it would be no fun
at all....right...i am severely at odds with the detector i have so what ever i find it's great to me....my machine
is old as the hills....half the time ground balancing is freaking out, no matter what i do, and descimination is so vague i'm not sure if it's working right at all, I was going to get a ACE 250.......but i want to wear myself out with the old one i have first. so i have to be creative where i search. I have found only one wheat and a old button......but it's fun just getting out....good luck. g

Hey Bryan, so far this year I have found .17 with the MD and .45 walking across the parkinglot at work. I am thinking about trading the MD in on a pair of GLASSES!! I know how you feel!!

hey bro stick with it....try taking a few coins with you when you go, plant them and see how your machine acts to each one, plant them at differant depts to see how she will act to them also.....your machine will tell you what you need to know you just have to speak the language...
good luck
and happy hunting as the saying goes "swing it and they will come"
