THIS IS ALL I'v BEEN ABLE to find on it.

Very Cool find Jim.

TAKEN FROM EBay

collectible piece of petroliana...From Hyvis Oil Company..which I believe existed from 1920 to 1938...This embossed brass advertising token reads...Mileage Metered..Hyvis Motor Oils...on one side. The other is divided into pie sections with mileage totals and the corresponding recommended oil grade to use.

CONGRATS !

Jeff

JIM NICE FIND. BUT TELL ME HOW DO YOU GET SUCH GREAT PICS. YOUR HOLDING THE TOKIN IN ONE HAND TAKING THE PIC IN THE OTHER AN ITS SO SHARP. ME I HAVE 2 PUT MY STUFF DOWN THEN TRY 2 TAKE THE PIC. AN THEY NEVER COME OUT SHARP. THANKS BUD

Neat old token Jim. Glad to see you dug up something older. I bet you where happy to add that one to your collection. I love finding the older advertising tokens. Keep seraching that lot. As tough as the conditions may be there may be something else there.

Good Luck Jeremy

Buud best way to take nice clean photos is with a camera that has a macro feature. When the Macro feature is on you can really get nice clean pictures at close range. As for how Jim holds the item and takes a picture..... I think he has 3 arms (That is how he digs so many nice things also)

That is a really nice token Jim. I am jealous, all I find here are tokens to the arcade at the local casino. :P

Keep it up,
Deadshot

That's a neat token Jim. What are you doing with all your KEEPER finds?

Interesting token Jimmie, I wonder how old it is? You always seem to pull up a neato find! HH, Mike

My camera has a macro feature and all else was failing so I read the manual!? On my camera the snapshot button is easy to reach with one hand an as long as it's centered in the macro window it does ok.? I take it outside in natural sunlight too which seems to make them clearer.
I found another blurb on a search that that said they were made between 1929 and 1939 and was worth approximately $13.50 in pristine condition.? This one isn't so I guess about $5.00 but I won't sell it anyway.? I put all my " treasures" in a coffee can and put them up out of the reach of my grandkids.? Some day I'm going to try to make a boxed in display and maybe hang it on the wall?? The sewing room/computer room is basically my sanctuary so I will probably display it in here.? ?JIM
