Eyeballed these two items in the Hurtgen Forest last week. Any one know what the round object with the hole in the center might be? Eyeballed another one just like it a couple days later at the Remagen Bridge site. They are about three inches in diameter, about an inch and a half high.

Hello Rheingeld, welcome to TNet! The piece doesn't look familiar to me but I will do some looking to see if I can find out. A good friend of mine served in WWII told me stories about the Hurtgen forest during the war. He disliked the smell of pine very much it reminded him of bloody battles that took place there. He was with the 83rd Infantry Division, 331st regiment Co. K, heavy weapons platoon Seargent. He got me interested in collecting US and German WWII gear, personal items and weapons.

Good luck and be careful. I would love to hunt there one day in memory of my friend.

Steve

1st - Hey Rheingeld - I noticed this was your very first post. SO, welcome aboard from the great state of Pennsylvania (USA).

2nd - You didn't (list) mention your state (or country) - but you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting your state for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

I think what you have found is a leg support from a BBQ grill
