I hate storms. Be Wise. And no, Tuesday you will not be digging the Treasure coast in all probability.

Some evacuations already have been ordered.

I hate storms. My basement gets well watered anymore by just thunderstorms.

I hate um too !!

Today I did as threatened. I charged up my 12 volt car battery, which is not in a car, it normally runs my gold wheel. Took my hammer drill and put a hole through the concrete block to put a permanent discharge up for a 750 gph battery powered sump.

All I have to do now is nothing! Detecting tomorrow! Only the beach this time of year, the yellow jackets are chasing anything that moves, and a lot of stuff that doesn't move! They attacked my black garden cart this am.

750 gph should give you peace of mind !!

Did ya put a float switch on it smokey?

No, it's automatic but I don't think I'll do a switch at all. I have electric sumps and of course the sump holes. I jackhammered one myself!

This is just for when the power goes off, the water doesn't stop and I don't want to go outside in a storm to start the generator. Generator (s) were tested last week and fuel emptied and new fuel put in. I do that 3x a year.

Ah, I get ya!

When the power goes off in the warm months, not so much a problem. When it's 15 degrees out and the wind is howling at 20 mph, that's another story.

Well, the path is changing and now looks like it's going up the coast line. Slow so it won't reach Wabasso beach until Wed. If it stays within 50 miles of the coast the beaches will be washed out. This will be an excellent time to hunt for Spanish.

Yup, it's slowing down. Another something or other is trying to form in the Gulf and another wave is coming off the African coast.

We have quite a few members here directly in the projected path.

We need to pray for them.

I've been praying it goes and visits Iceland. That way, only shipping is in the way, and all it would be by the time it gets there is a snow squall.

At present, it's going to meet Florida just north of Palm Beach, and go straight up the coast. If it does that, it would be like a buzz saw going up there.

Horrendous is the word I'd use.

Right now I'm thinking Pat Cats and TreasureHunter (a moderator and stand up guy)

Anyone in Upper Western SC area have a piece of land I can rent for boon docking when this s**t happens?

Hopefully they're on the move to a safe place.

I was just trying to pull up a website that streams video and almost ALL of them say they are down. Down to traffic on the site or down to weather conditions ? Anybody have a good site to recommend ? Only could find one working and it is at Cocoa Beach.

Small live news feeds on weather channel app. My go to.

Weather Channel faked a Hurricane report last year and I kinda shy away from them now.

Thank Our Father, TH (Treasure Hunter) contacted me, he's okay. I've not heard from Pat Cats yet.
