Been waaay to busy to even get these up.
But, these were my last few hunts for the year. Got some good luck.
The dime to the left was the one I passed up in Wrote It Off ~ Now I'm Writing About It.
Turned out to be about 7" down. I had hoped for an older one, but I will take it.
After leaving there, I headed out to a place where I found one of my deepest dimes at a few years back.
I took it slow and low as the grass is very high in the area, and sure enough an "Iffy" signal not
one foot to the left of where I found one the last time - two inches deeper than the length of my ProPointer.
You do the math! Another silver rosie (the one on the right).
Next hunt,
At this location I have NEVER struck silver. Only thing of interest I ever found was a Kennedy half.
And, that is what I thought this biggie was.
Turned out to be a B. Ward Beams Daredevil token. I was quite surprised.
A little persistence paid off at this extremely hunted out site.
Next hunt,
An area I quick-researched in the Mid-Summer.
Turned out to go back to 1916.
Again, I hoped to do some Barbers out of here, but all I could pull was the Merc and the Quarter.
I did pass up an "Iffy" that I was sure was silver, and went I rescanned the area from lack of any better signals--It was gone!
The EMI God struck again!
A first here for me though--a skeleton key. It has been on my bucket list a long time.
And, I got another key as well--guess it's a Bifecta! Ha!
And, another hunt:
This was my last time out. And, it was getting quite cold when I did this one.
An area that goes back to the 1880's with history, however it has been scraped and dozed and re-done, and everything else.
After an hour and a half I got a good signal at 7" and tugged out the Merc that was pinpointing far to the left--the culprit a piece of large iron nearby (almost gave up on that).
Right after that I pulled the destroyed silver rosie, that I thought was a Barber or love token at first. Then the silver vein dried right up.
All in all a good year, but that is it for me until the Spring.
Pulling my batteries out the detectors and putting them in storage.
Have great Holidays all!
