Hunting Old neighborhood in St. Paul 1850's
Hello Fellow Minnesotan's I'm back. I was done early with work and had a chance to goto an old park in St. Paul. Well after about an hour and finding only 1 wheatie and 2 quarters I was just wondering if any of the home's around this park have been detected. Well it must of been my day. I saw a man with his baby outside and thought wow perfect time to just chat and ask questions. Well (Mike) was very nice and receptive towards my questions and gave me permission to search his property. After about 10-15 min of history info Mike gave me I started searching. It was about 15 min into the hunt when I hit a big signal and down about 5-6 inches. Well the soil was just right and I was able to see metal. Out popped an old Axe Head. Nice and very old. Well after about an hour I hit another strong signal that registered around 3 inches and showed zinc so I was thinking wheatie because I was hunting around an old Big Tree. Well I was wrong. It was an old House Tag. Labled (St. Paul House #44 with a name) Nice very Nice. I informed Mike right away and he started to investigate the tag. Well after everything was said and done I feel I could of found more but my time was running out.
Enjoy the pictures.
