Heading to the North Sulphur River for first time to hunt.
Anyone have experience hunting there? Know of spots to try? I know the park parking area near Landonia but so does everyone else.
If I park at the parking area, is there a suggested direction to head once in the riverbed? I figure I'll have to move a ways away from the bridge there since thats probably the hardest hit area.
Thank you in advance for any advice!

Man I used to go there all the time growing up. Always finding stuff but mostly fishing.
I need to get back to Texas. But I think all you got to do is walk it to find stuff

Thats what I've read. This will be my first trip there so I'm taking gear to be prepared for whatever I run into.

I use to go a lot years ago and could bring back 15-20 pieces of bones every time, but now I sure its hit pretty hard and often...If you park at the Ladonia "park" go up river to the right that is where I always had my best luck. The last time I went was during the week about a year or two ago ( just passing by and couldn't resist ) and I parked at the Ladonia covered parking area and walked down and straight across and found one of my best vertebrates that was just starting to peak through the drying mud, so it was just luck and perfect timing because there were a lot of foot prints all around the area. Good luck and I hope you find something great. RR

Thanks! We ended up going up stream past the next bridge.
Did ok. Found a bunch of fossils but nothing earth shattering.
Got one I can't ID that I will post up.
