Got in another nice day's digging in a primitive hunting campsite. Primitive meaning no amenities and containing grafitti and garbage plus quite a few coins. The 2 relics were old and deep. The neat old cow bell still has the clapper in it. and the oil can probably from the 20's to 40's. Still had to run on disc. because of the aluminum residue of can burning but as you can see by the dig and cover spots there was alot of good hits. The exitement for the day came from the Sacajahwea dollar. I dig by taking a couple of shovels of dirt into that classifier pan and when the signal is in there I shake it out untill the coin or trash shows up. In this case gold colored reverse of the Sac showed up with the Eagle and Dollar word visiable. My old heart isn't able to take too much of that. A good day in the Mountains anyway and as you can see by my old Minelab it is starting to show some wear. Hope everyone out there had a good day and Happy trails you all.

Yup, it is Burdie, and a big one. The gold pan is 16" wide. It still has remnants of the neck strap. This area hadn't been grazed for more than 60 years so it was a surprize. Thanks for the interest.

Wanted so much to get a new tape but that dedburned silver stuff was out of my reach at 5 bucks a roll.
