Short hunt at Hawkins. Found a 1945 wheat then one foot away this 1944 Mercury dime. Wheat was a little rough but cleaned up well in rock tumbler. The Mercury was in great shape! I swear I have been over this spot dozens of times. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1458233400.050627.jpg

Think all the water is helping conductivity, maybe a little more depth. What the heck do I know, haven't been in 3 weeks.

I think you're right. I got a new coil I was trying out. I like it !

Try 4 months...(other than my yard.)

Clad,
You need to get out and swing some!

I want to get one of those NEL Storm coils for the AT Pro so I can get deeper, but it is $210 shipped now!.

Try 4 months...(other than my yard.)

GSM45/RedBronco/Clad Slad,
Has anyone ever hunted that field by Hawkins over on West Street and San Antonio Street?
Looks like a big soccer field behind the grave yard.
There is also a walking track on Miller Street and West Street.

If your finding a coin of any kind, no spot is hunted out. ;)

Both the ball field and field by the creek have been hit many times but they are like the others and are still
giving up finds.

I have come to the belief that no place is hunted out. I think we have went back to places we have hunted more than once just for someplace to hunt and end up finding a silver or even a lot more clad than you would expect. I hunted one park no less than 20 times and each time I amazed myself on how much more was there. The 1st time I hunted it I had a $25 day in clad and even the last time I hunted it I picked up at least $3

I hunted an old park that was over 100 years old and every guy within a 50 mile radius had hunted it plus every guy with a new detector went there to find his riches in old coins. I knew other than a few clad pennies the odds were slim to none I would find anything but after 3 hours of disappointment I found a 1905 Liberty nickel.

I didn't know there were so many here in Ms. Too bad your all down South...does that make me a Yankee?? :laughing7:

Depends on where you are at, yams or sweet taters, toast or biscuits?
