First of all sorry for the crappy scan. I spoke to the replacement plan people regarding my digicam and they are going to give me the replacement value on my busted camera! The scan is kinda fuzzy...the coin is much prettier with sharp details in person.
Anyway, I have been obsessing over the site that I found the 1777 (not 1775 like I originally thought) KGIII and the Draped Bust half cent earlier this week. I swung by a little while ago and dug another four buttons...One PLATED, one IMPERIAL STANDARD, one STAND COL, TREBLE GILT, and one unmarked pewter flat button. I also dug a few more wheaties and a beat up old Indian Head, but the real find was a sweet sounding 51 VDI...(that is typically a twist off cap for you non White's people). It was only 2 inches down but sounded too sweet to be a shotgun shell or a twist cap. I was hoping for a button but instead got my first Half Dime, an 1853 O... Too bad it has arrows! .
