Went to the out of town park again today due to the good weather. Made out good again. Found some current clad and some fishing weights. No old coins today. Did discover several probes and holes left by another person. In one of the holes he dug, I got a signal for a quarter, I used my pinpointer and it was at 4 inches. The guy missed it. Also he missed a dime in another dig. Hope you guys enjoy.

Hey D Rex, sounds like you should just follow the holes from the other guy and detect there. Sure goes to prove that you should always check your hole a second time. Congrats...Lance

I am currently researching a park that has remained undeveloped. Thou it sits in the miidle of a residential neiborhood. On maps of the area from throughout the 1800's it shows an old farming community. And even the name of the park area has remained unchanged. Of couse then it was known as "_ _ _ _ _ _ Grove" Sorry i'll give you the name when I swing it for awhile......

Great finds...I have done that before...Buried my hole, swung back over it,and got another signal..
Now I alway double check...

Happy hunting

Don't you just love those "hunted out" places? I've been working a hunted out park for the last 5 outings and if I was a pure coin shooter I would be in paradise! Mostly pennies but there are so many I get tired of digging them. I did find a gold class ring and a pigeon leg band and the top off some 3 merry widows among some other interesting "junk" too! Stay with it and it will be rewarding. Monty

Love tham hunted out parks,,, WTG!!!
Good job grabbing all the leftovers too...
Good luck & Happy hunting~
