"Hunt before the Rain" 1846 LC

Went out this morning for four hours, and it had already rained out overnight, so everything was wet and the mosquito's were out in force. got the clad pennies, holy pendant, and a musket ball (still out in my vehicle), wouldn't you know it, as soon as it started to rain i got a nice deep 88 VDI hit and i dug the large cent out at 4-5". rechecked the hole and maybe a few inches over from where i dug, i got another hit and dug the 1864 Indian cent.

A copper is a copper!!! It has been 2 years since I dug a Braided Hair. I would like to see a close-up of that Mass copper in your profile pic.

Thanks Hogge for the info on the LC, when i first saw that it had no line under "Cent" i knew it was one of the last one's in the series...

I have NEVER dug a braided hair variety. My most modern LC is 1839. Nice find in nice shape!!

This was my 4th LC in 2 1/2 years MDing, 1818, 1828, 1838 & 1846
