My neighbors house is built around a little house dating around 1890 and he was working on remodeling and had rotortilled all around his home. So I asked if I could hunt it. I've hit it hard in the past but couldn't resist going back after the tilling. I find tons of glass, pottery for some reason all broken up. I also found tons of junk and odds and ends but I have a few neat things and landed my first indian cent ever. mir_20191124_152033.jpgmir_20191124_152108.jpgmir_20191124_152149.jpgmir_20191124_152256.jpgmir_20191124_151742.jpg

Not sure what the Union labeled button like thing is. The coin that is toasted is just a wheat penny.

Also does anyone know the correct ssy to get the dirt and crud off the coins and button? I won't mess with them till I know the right way.

Congrats on your first Indian! it took me over four months last year to get my first one, after the first they come much quicker!

I like the IH and button pretty cool I first make sure my coin isnt a valuable key date. If not and you want it clean I take about 3 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide put it in the microwave for about 30 seconds till its hot drop the coin in there for a minute or 2 works well. Good job on the hunt. I had my profile pic sideways for over a year and still see alot like yours if you PM VP Navy he fixed mine in about 10 seconds lol Good post

Thank you, my first one ever and I've been metal detecting for years, though I found several mercs. Going to attempt to learn pro mode on my AT Pro as the more experienced here keep telling me I'm missing out because I don't use it.

Thank you for the advice, doing some research I see even removing dirt can devalue coins. I'll leave then as is. Thank you I had no idea someone could fix the picture.

No problem, gotta use pro mode my friend!!!! For sure.

I'll try but things complex like pro mode I have a hard time learning for some reason. But perhaps if I give it a try I can manage

That is a nice first Indian. The Union Pacific railroad button is nice too! I'm not an expert but I imagine it's from around 1910-1915. Cool stuff!
