Hey guys. Did a couple hours hunt to a friends field off the river. Figured it would be quicker to hit it by boat early in the morn and it sure was foggy. Seems like I got focused on green rocks as this area is known for a little bit of green stone and I was really wanting a nice green stone celt(in my dreams). Only found one piece of green stone and that was probably not worked but some of the artifacts had a green tint.Go figure
I wonder how much I missed. The day belonged to Copena and Hamilton Also found a carved and then melted 58 cal Civil war bullet we call camp lead.
The little triangular Hamilton and the one and only insitu Copena are good quality. Just one would have made my day as I have had a pretty lack luster season .
Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting.
Froggy ride in.
Insitu Copena
GroupOne Copena (auriculate) on left is fort payne chert the good one (triangular) is a local black chert with a small amount of rind on base.
Group 2 bottom left is a heavily worn copena almost to drill form before being broke or chunked.
Hamilton, green hornstone
Happy Hunting!
