Hundreds of cars on fire at Lancaster, Ca. salvage yard

that's possible :coffee2:

Beautiful Black Smoke :coffee2:

I wonder if someone Junked an Electric Car :laughing7:

Lots of yards catch on fire.
Wrecking yards especially.
Build up of oils, grease, fuels, solvents.
Bubba flicking his smoke into a wreck.
Actually even aluminum foil, or turnings that gets wet can cause a fire.
Been 4-5 yards had fires just around my area over the past decade.

Yep..the Sun hits a mirror or glass at just the right angle, and it acts like a magnifying glass. Add something for fuel, and away it goes.

I wonder if they insure wrecked cars? :dontknow:

Don’t see it live on utube
Can’t be out can it?

Los Angeles County Fire Department reported early indications are that the fire started due to a malfunctioning hydraulic car crusher.
One local business owner said he was told the fire started as a forklift was moving a vehicle and it ignited for unknown reasons.

The Lancaster junk yard fire is nothing compared to what is happening in other parts of the West today.
Imagine seeing this California fire in your back yard. This fire has consumed more than 500 square miles (comprehend that if you can) and is still out of control.

That's a huge fire being 320,000 acres, the fire in Jasper Alberta is 90,000.
