Human bone?

Hi guys, new to MD'ing and treasure hunting. In the Stuart FL area so we have had fun starting out with the 1715 beaches and shark teeth from Port Charlotte area. Found this bone on the beaches by Port Charlotte today. Looks (possibly) human to me but who knows. Thought I'd ask if I'm way off here. Planning to run over to the police but don't want to waste their time either. What do you think?

looks too short in length & too large in Diameter to be human to me

Animal bone! No human bones of that size and thickness that I know of
