HUGE coin. Need help. 35mm

Hey guys found this coin today in the area of civil war, 1812, and colonial action. It's 35 mm diameter and appears to have maybe a 10 or 40 in the center. Definitely a 0. Any help is more than I have. Thanks

The 40 Reis counterstamp was placed on 80 Reis coins from the reign of Pedro I and II during many (but not all) years between 1820 and 1832.
