Huge Chunk o' Lead

Hello everyone!

I went back to my smelly beach to do some MD'ing. Wasn't very many targets, but i got a couple interesting finds.

First up, 4 lead weights Any idea about the circle one...age?

1951 D Wheaty

Shinny memorials

and....

A HUGE lead bar!

It says A S & R Co. and i would love ideas about its use. I found huge fishing weights near it so i think it is for making weights. However, it could be a dive belt.... Either way, i would like a ball park figure for age to see what else is ther

(BTW, still looking for that machine that changes lead into gold )

Hey, GC—

A S & R Co., now known as ASARCO— the American Smelting & Refining Company— was founded in 1899. It changed its name to ASARCO, Inc. in 1975.

Looks like you won't have to buy sinkers if you go fishing, nice finds.
