I’m Mark, in Lansing, Mi. I’ve been detecting for probably 25- 30 years, but often fall into a pattern where I put my gear down for a year or two, usually choosing golf for my spare time hobby. But I decided with retirement quickly approaching, that I’d get back into it on a more serious note. I’m a Real Estate Appraiser, and see all these cool old homesteads while I’m out driving around, and it’s all I can do not to stop and “look around” for a while. I’ve used Whites mostly in the past, have a Minelab Explorer that I wish I’d had the patience to use and learn, and just recently purchased a Simplex, hoping that the newer technology may yield more rewards. But I know I just need to put in the hours, and get over to the beaches more.

Welcome to the forum. I have a Simplex, however that Minelab Explorer is a coin killer, as you well know.
