I lost my wedding ring playing sand volleyball some time back. I bought a cheapo unit from RadioShack to help me recover it. It took 1-2 hours to find an old battery, some pop tops, and other assorted garbage before I finally found the ring. Anyhow, it was pretty fun and I'd like to try it recreationally here in the DFW area. I know I need to upgrade my detector, so I'll be reading the forums here to find a good starter unit.
