New to the board, but been detecting on and off for many years. Built my first (HeathKit) detector at 10 years old (1973) ...yea, I'm an old fart.
I didn't swing a machine for the last 5 years or so until this last week - I've had the bug, but not the time. Went to fire up my old XLT and discovered one of the battery contact points was broken. Got tired of waiting for parts and bought a new MineLab CTX 3030. Of course, I'm still learning this machine, but so far I'm impressed with it's capabilities.
I look forward to networking with others here and maybe hook up with some active local hunters.
