Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Metal dectecting/treasure hunting is a hobby I have been interested in for a long time. I used to pan gold with my Grandfather (God rest his soul)back when I was a teenager. I'm originally from Southern California, but been here in Texarkana TX for longer than I lived in CA. Been to the Crater of Diamonds in Murfreesboro AR a couple of times (with absolutely no luck as I don't have a clue about mining for diamonds). Plan to visit there much more often in the coming years.

Like I said, metal detecting is a hobby I've always wanted to try (actually, I'm up for trying anything treasure related). Noticed that there are several folks located within 3 or so hours from me. Maybe I could tag along with some of you on a hunt or two. I'd be up for doing the grunt work in exchange for a little experience and a pointer or two.

Anyway, great to have found this site and is great to be here. I look forward to getting to know yall better and hopefully contribute to the forums one day.

Welcome aboard! Take a look at Sub-Forums: Texas for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.

Welcome. Texas is a big state, there are lots of members here and there are probably many in your area... Good luck...

Thanks Bro!

Welcome to the forum....

Howdy and welcome from N. Mississippi. That pot of gold is out there somewhere. Good luck.

Howdy back at ya, from Cumby, Hopkins County, TX. Maybe we can meet up sometime for some detecting, being roughly 100 miles apart. Don't know how good of an instructor I'll be, but I have found a few goodies. Fridays are my free-est day as I work a four day week. You can PM me if interested, and welcome to TNET...Ken.

I lived in Hot Springs 3 months about 40 years ago. Every little store used to sell maps to go to crystal mines. If they still do that up there in Hot Springs then hightail it up there and learn how to do that. A crystal mine just looks like a field that has been plowed up by a bulldozier. I'm telling you , I still have a house full of quartz crystals I dug there in 1972.

Welcome to Treasurenet. There are several detecting clubs in the East Texas area as well as a East Texas FB group. Good luck on your search!

Welcome to T'net! And be careful - metal detecting is an addictive hobby! That said, if I can help you with the addiction just PM me! I am in Kaufman county and like to do all types of treasure hunting, too. I am especially fond of cache hunting. Kinda makes me a sucker for treasure tales, though.

Welcome from Birmingham, Alabama. This is a great place to learn about and share safe, effective treasure hunting tips and tricks. Good luck and we look forward to seeing your cool finds.

Welcome to Tnet.

Thanks again, ya'll!

Welcome and good luck
