Howdy and..

Hi there, I`m Jeff been hunting seriously since about 81 the first detector was a whites BFO type I bought at a yard sale, Found a few thing but later upgraded to a Compass X80 then an old Tesoro and have had many detectors since then, all except Garrett...Don't know why but never had one.
I like to hunt the beach when I can, parks in the winter when the soil is soft and if the beach isn't producing. I have met allot of people in this hobby, It has been allot of fun and hope to continue as long as I can...53 and getting sore but still going.

Welcome my friend. We are near the same age and both at it for many years sounds like. Tnet is by far the best site I have found for our hobby. Tons of useful info to be shared by many. Be sure to check out the research tools (maps etc. ) available as they have been a great asset for me. HH

Welcome! Like you, I'm one of the few here that started out with BFO. Mine came from a clearance bin at Radio Shack. Also had an X-80 years ago. 60 here and getting sore here too, but the more time I spend detecting, the better the muscles work : )
