Hello to all, My name is Stan, (forum name Lobo UK) and I have been detecting for many years in the UK and had some nice finds throughout the years. I mainly detect inland, but have had good results on some of the North West beaches of the UK. Most notable find was in 2011 when I was lucky enough to unearth a gold medieval brooch, which was featured in the 2012 UK detecting magazines.
In May this year both my wife and I will be visiting relatives in Houston Texas, and hopefully I will be able to get some 'tecting done.

Hello Stan,

I'm just a few miles from Houston. No gold medieval stuff around here though. If it's gold it probably got dropped at a baseball, football, or soccer field.
So envious of the historical items to be found from your side of the pond. Have a safe trip and enjoy the Texas hospitality.
