I found a CW button that has extensive damage. It was under a large tree root and I think the pressure is what caused the damage. The back is perfect but the front is very brittle. Since it will remain in my collection and the value is very little in this condition, I would like to fix it however possible. Would it be possible to fill the cavity of the button with an epoxy which would keep the front together? My other thought was to coat the button with something but I would like to keep the appearance as natural as possible so I like the first idea better. Let me know what you think. Thank you in advance.
