My new sluice has miners moss the entire length.
How am I supposed to quick check values?
I was told that I can put black mat under the moss at the start of the sluice only if I really want to but I should put the miners moss back on top of it. This seems like a waste.
I am used to the mat being clear of debris and sediment and only showing gold. If there is miners moss then It would build up heavies and sediment and checking values would require a cleanout.
Has anyone had success with just a black mat in the first section?
Should I give up on checking values?
Maybe I could cut the miners moss after the first 12 inches so I only have to do a cleanout on the front section which would be much faster?
Would this effect how the moss works?
