I went to a friend about posting this, as I'm most concerned about safety issues with this.

But, I believe in certain circumstances, this might be something to consider. It's only good for 4 to 5 minutes under, but might work for those just out of reach targets.

And I'm also putting this up for comments:

Always be safe - It's our lives we deal with.

Nope nope nope! I'd be worried about the mold release used in the plastics. Got bad air back in the late 60s. Had some oil in it the shops compressor leaked through a bad seal. All I remember was it was the worst day of my life up to that point. With that being said, yeah I'm a smoker! "I REALLY don't trust breathing something I can't see!!!!!!" For the rest of you smokers out there, use that as a comeback when the non's start hounding you! Shuts em right up. They just can't figure out what to say. Seriously though I'd be kind of worried about the mold release.

I wouldn't bet my life on it ! Spend the extra money for a factory built and inspected tank !

I put my own together - cost about the same - only prob is - in season they wont allow it on any of my beaches - spring was to cold
so have to wait for Fall or I have to go into spots at 530am - tough when you live 2 hrs away from ocean

There are better ways to die than drowning. Even if the air was considered safe which it isn't, the low pressure and lack of volume is not going to provide enough air for any real work once the heart rate gets up. It's going to give you about 1 cubic foot of air. Most people consume .5cfm at the surface. So at 15 feet, you would consume roughly .75cfm. So it would last about 1 minute at 15 feet, or maybe 2 minutes at 10 feet with a nice surprise at the end.

Plenty of time to seriously hurt yourself, and not enough time to get any work done.

I spent many years doing deep cave diving and exploration and this is the sort of thing I'd expect to find on a body recovery dive.

Scuba gear is CHEAP on the used market, there is no reason to build this ridiculous click bait crap.

These people only do this stuff for youtube traffic not actual use. I cringe when I think of kids watching the home made scuba videos.

Check craigslist.

And with that big air bubble on your back, how are you going to submerge??
