I found this along with 2 silver rings, 1 class ring date 1938, 1 tin ring, 2 spoons, 1 cross, and 10 weates, and $ 4.00 in silver clad, didnot count pennys.

It looks pretty old Dave, early 20th century most likely. How's the detecting there in northern MI?

Detecting is great in Michigan, I have ben detecting for 30 years. No coins befor 1850 no large cents, 2 cent, or 3 cent yet. My father was one of the first around here to get a detector and he would come home with his pockets filled. I am going out to day with him to find a wedding ring lost on a sledding hill. As for a pick of the back of the broach i will post one latter tonight when I am done hunting. Thanks for looking and I wish every one the best of luck out hunting.

Victorian era...looks like it used a celtic knot design...raised rope....very cool.
