How Old Might This Buckle Be?

Hello. I found this brass buckle at a 1920's home site down pretty deep. I am not a buckle pro but it has the style of the old shoe buckles I see posted sometimes. It looks in too good of shape to be real old but 'ya never know. Any ideas are appreciated. HH. C9

Your buckle includes a copyright symbol (the letter c enclosed in a circle) which would date the piece to 1954 or later (when Title 17 of the US Code was amended to use that symbol to indicate a copyright).

OWK, I think your seeing just some scroll work on the buckle. I just see the word HORN and SOLID, unless I'm missing something too.

EDIT: Wait, that's not SOLID, I can't tell what it is. Looks like SOLIDE

Hello vhs07. You are correct the supposed copyright symbol is scroll work and the it does say "SOLIDE". Still not sure on the age of this thing but I am gonna guess early 20th century based on Breezie's post and other relics dug on the site. Thanks for the reply. C9
