Hello All. I found this unfired rifle round in a small town curb strip near the downtown area. It is not uncommon here in FL to find old in-town spent ammo...usually shotgun loads. A bit unusual to find unspent rifle rounds though.

I know what it is, a Winchester model round production made from 1876 till 1940, but I don't know how old this one might be. Please let me know if there is specific date range for this one.

if I'm reading this chart correctly, it looks like they discontinued the W primer in 1923 WRA Co Primer and Bullet Help

I think you are reading it right...1923 or earlier...nice. I figured it was pretty old and not a later repro.
