How old is this Padlock?

Found this metal detecting today in a field. It looks pretty old, but I don't know how old. I was wondering if someone could help me. The only writing on it is the big "E" on the front of it above the keyhole as you can see in the pics. I don't know what the "E" means and I can't find another lock just like it to be able to date it.

thats an eagle padlock.like this one......early 1900s
