How old is this little toy

Don't know, I'm just trying to figure out what he is. Got a badge and luggage. Huh!!!!

I think that is a Barclay #614 train Porter from the 1950's.

It is an earlier one, probably early 1940's, based on the base. Barclay's early lead figures had one single base, so both the feet were connected to the same base. Later on in the 1950's and until they went out of business, the soldiers and people were made with "podfoot" bases, where each foot had a small circular base, but were not attached.

It had to be pre war or post war, there weren't any lead toys during WWII. There was much more important work for that lead to do. I remember Britain toy soldiers late 40's early 50's.
Lots of metal and lead were turned in for scrap, for the war effort. Probably went with a Lionel train set.
