How old is this brake pad for car. what type of brake pad for car? Which model. when was it made. age id. Found this brake pad metal detecting not to far away next to a abandoned house built in the year of 1900. Reproduction new or old? What is the thing in picture 4? And the holes? How was it it lost it looks like its in good condition. Could it belong to the people that lived there? 20210122_105004.webp20210122_105104.webp20210122_110901.webp20210122_111205.webp

What do you mean by reproduction, new, or old?

Only 4 pictures.. You asked about something in #6?

Disc brakes didn't start showing up on American cars until the mid 1960's. I think Corvette got front disks about 1965? Some of the first pads had a round hole and an oblong hole. Can't tell what brand because they all looked alike.

Creskol asked some very valid points. When a respected member asks the very query it is just pointing out that the poster might of forgot, or misquoted the question.

It is not a new brake pad.
Many brake pads were re-lined and used again so that would make the possibility of it being remanufactured, which is kinda like reproduced.

I can tell you this much Bartshop .. when people come in here with a chip on their shoulder like you have, you can rest assured that I will never try to assist you again.
You are now on my ignore list.
Have a good day.

As Creskol said, your brake pad is likely 1960's through early '80's. . Disc brake pads are pretty generic looking. OEM or replacement? (I GUESS that's what you're asking with old, new, reproduction? Can't be sure.) Who knows? Look for ID numbers or other markings if you want more answers. Without something like ID markings or part numbers, trying this to a specific make/model is unlikely. It is, by the way, worthless. Regardless of what type of vehicle it was used on.

And finally, what is up with that response to Creskol?? I have no idea what set you off. There was nothing disrespectful in his response. You were out of line with your remarks. The people on this site are among the most helpful I've ever encountered on the web. You owe an apology sir.

EDIT: Although I thought it should be obvious, I added the fact that it's worthless.

The only one being disrespectful here is you, Creskol was trying to help you, you asked about picture 6, he told you there was no picture 6, it's not his fault you mistyped the picture number, he was not being disrespectful at all.

I guess my post was deleted for some odd reason... again...

which perplexes me for it broke no rules and only stated the truth the OP needed to consider concerning posting etiquette.

:/

Guess too many people "liked" what I said.
