I could use some feedback about the age of this jug. it is hand blown, pontiled, and has an applied handle and bubbles in the glass. is it artglass or a pitkin flask?
looks like the 20s or 30s to me.

I dont know how old your jug is, but I know they still blow glass the old fashioned way in Mexico.

Don't claim to be an expert, but I'd say it's an art glass piece. Why? Mostly because of the little flair on the applied handle -- just doesn't seem like something that would have been done in the days of Pitkin. Still, it's a nice piece and I wouldn't sell it for cheap.

Where did you get it and how big is it?

$10.00, not bad. If that were mine, I'd be happy to put it in a sunny window and enjoy the beautiful green color. It's a very elegant piece. Surely if you put it on ebay, somebody who is an expert would bid up the price -- whether you claimed it was a genuine Pitkin or not. If you are trying to find an appropriate description for listing it on ebay, you could always say "Pitkin style" or "Pitkin like," I suppose. That way the keyword "Pitkin" would grab some of the collectors searching for Pitkin stuff. I didn't explain that well, but maybe you know what I am trying to say??

Yes, I agree, but be careful of the wording. Do not use the word "like". My antique tools listing was pulled from e-Bay when I used the words "like Stanley." Cannot do that.

Those are beautiful. OMG, how I'd like to get one of those beauties in my next dump dig.

Thanks for all the input, and yes it is going on ebay I would display it but I am a cobalt blue nut. Green is not my thing.
