I don't know the age, but would imagine at least 100-120 years old. do a google image search 'antique barrel key with dolphins' and it brings up several identical ones. most are from ebay listings. the patina on yours is great.

I say pre 1900's maybe Victorian or much earlier, its very ornate.... Awesome key find !!

19th century or older, can't really pin it down. Best looking key I've ever seen.
