How old - Garrett VLF/TR Deep Seeker

Hi all, been a while since I have been on here due to health problems. While I was gone I had a friend give me a older Garrett VLF/TR Deep Seeker detector with a push button, it is in pretty good shape, had to do a little work on the battery box and replace the button in the handle, but I have it working. Found a set of instructions for it and found the model is a Coin Hunter and the Ser. is #477-90, any ideas on how old it is ? Also found a price tag still on it, $279.95. Any help would be appreciated

I remember using these that they were a good finder except the TR wasn't as deep as our discriminator's now.
