was just reading an earlier post by diamond jim where he was making note of how amazing it is that there is still so many coins in the ground. It reminded me of an article i read years ago that claimed there was more us coinage lost and in jars on dressers than there is in circulation. After some of the old houses i have hunted i can believe that lol....at one local farmhouse with about 3/4 acre yard i dug 183 coins and 3 rings only 7 were silver 1 a nice standing liberty and a nice kennedy half.I can hardly wait for first nice day of 07 to start the count all over happy new year and hh to all...jon

They say that the detecting range "depth" of a field only produces 1 % of a field to a detectorist every season that are on it, therefore thats why stubble fields produce finds year after year.

$23,684,235.89 IN THE GROUND

unbeleiveable amounts of coins must still be in the ground.
