How much does it help?

I have been to numerous sites, some that are still home to some silver. im pretty shure of that. how much does using headphones help? Im ready for some coins. I still feel like im using the xlt wrong. ahhhhh digging crap when i should be digging silver and gold. im just going to start digging everything!!! yah thats what i will do

I think head phones are a huge plus.here them little sounds the ones that do show up on the id.Dig every thing and your ears will become fine tuned after awhile

not to mention it supposedly save's on the battery's....keep at it bryan....You're not using it wrong,just take's a little time...be patient and learn that machine..KEEP diggin' and post some silver soon.HH...got faith in you,stick it out.....

HeadPhones and detectors go together like hot days and a cold Beer....There a must if your gonna hear those deep targets ,plus the headphones in most cases block out the road noise and other sounds that may aalter the sounds your hearing in the ground.... The XLT is an excellent machine I have used it for a few years and found a number of nice finds and coins... Get use to using the pre amp gain at different levels.. that will give you more depth ..When you get use to the machine you will no what to dig and not to dig... it's all practice and you will notice the difference with the headphones....Good luck ...Seeker

I never leave home without them. They make a significant difference. They help you pinpoint closer save batteries block out noise. And ignore people when bothering you. You can act like you can't hear them.

Headphone help alot especially when theres lots of outside traffic noise. I do a lot of wood searching, so sometimes I use them. I try not to in the woods, I want to hear that bear sneaking up on me. . Dig it all.

Ever tried to catch one?

Heres how:
Dig a pit and build a fire, let it burn down to ashes.
Then place an open can of Green peas in the center.
When the Bear comes to take a Pea..... You Kick him in the ash hole! :P
