How much deeper with a 10 inch coil

The BH coils really are very reasonalbly priced. I have the 4 - 8 and 10, each has it's place. Depth at the exact center of the coil is really pretty simular, the arc of the field out to the 10 inch diameter will cover more ground at a deeper view per sweep.
The bigger the coil however the cleaner the ground needs to be, thats why the small coils are ran in the trashy stuff.
Good value for the money , Yes, are you going to find dimes at 12 inch , No .

I love my 10" coil. I feel it added about 2 inches. Well worth the price plus you cover more area.

I have bad ground. Several Bounty Hunters will ID coins to 4" with 8" coil & 4 1/2" with 10" coil. They might detect them a couple inches or so deeper, but the IDs would be meaningless & require digging everything. HH, George (MN)

you have to understand also that a bigger coil means a larger (longer and wider) footprint and that also means a lot more unwanted junk and balancing.... you arent really going that much deeper..... this is why elliptical coils are much better for going BIGGER than round, concentric or oblong square ones....
