I may be one of the 1st Americans to have one - at least over here
they were only available in Europe - (but now on ebay but they were asking like 4-5 times price of store purchase)
my girlfriend had a friend coming over from Portugal and had them look for one
for me and voila! - she just surprised me while I was packing for Fla.
will give a test drive and let you know how it works next week

i had showed it to my girlfriend about a year ago when they first came out in France
I have bought all kinds of water related innovations over the years - masks - snorkes etc
I had a mask with vid camera built in before they were mentioned in this country - from japan
like 4 yrs ago - thing is - it was built for Japanese faces my eye lashes hit the lense and nose cavity was
not made for my slightly above average nose- so it did not work well for me - but i digress
My gal is Portugese and found out that a family friend was coming over to visit and secretly called him and ask him to look in their
Dick's type sportgoods store for the mask - he had to go to a couple of different stores to find one
and paid like $35 euros - and she didnt have pay shipping
it says mainly use for surface - so dont know how it would be for dropping down to fan
but I'll put it through the paces and will report - I dont mind using a regular snorkel - but I know many
that dont - so this might be an alternative for them

That thing looks cool. Prolly wanna shaved head to use it. Perfect for water huntin...lol. hh an gl -Joe

I have one , keep in my that they are really only useful on the surface. A month ago I was able to swim amongst the dolphins an amazing experience.

I noticed immediately that because of it being a full face mask that the pressure when you submerge yourself is uncomfortable, the instructions state that it is not for free diving. It does provide an amazing view while snorkeling.

I remember that...glad we are going to get some first hand feedback...good luck on your trip.

I've seen one of those either on these forums or another, but wouldn't want it just for surface use.

I haven't used it yet while detecting but suspect on the gulf coast it could easily increase my range. Some area of the gulf the drop off is very gradually.

yea buddy, that looks like it was made for wading and detecting, freakin awesome

when I first jumped in pool with it - it did fog - took off and spit in it like I do with my regular mask - stopped the fogging
dove down and pretended like I was fanning foe a target - only negative was your breathe heats mask up - in hot temps might be bothersome - in cold might be a positive
tried it out in resorts pool in fla. - found a $1 bill and a $10 on the bottom of the pool :hello2:
