How many of us have had 100 coin + hunts ?

I was just wondering how many of us coin shooters have hit that 100 coin mark in a hunt.

I've had a handful (between 6-10) 100+ coin hunts in my 9 years of hunting

When I clad hunt I have alot of 100+ coin days and in the mid 80's when I hunted Va Beach I had quite a few during the summer months.

seas1to2 says, "too many times to remember". My record was 466 during a beach storm erosion day. I know guys that've gotten up to 1000-ish during a good beach storm. Those would usually be days where it eroded down to bedrock, so you just scoop wildly, for hours on end, in the pockets of the bedrock where all the coins have settled.

I have had 2 days in my detecting days where I have found over 100 coins in a outing....Matt

Can't remember how many.

But, I do remember one day I

recovered 147 coins in 40 minutes.

My best clad day was 152 coins! It was also a very long day. I'd say I put in 10 hours doing it. It was in a city park...I think I had like 29 quarters and 51 dimes! It all totaled up to around $12.50 or so. That's my best clad day ever! 1,000 in a day? Not so sure about that....

I have had two 100+ days in the past year. Both times I dug 75+ pennies from the same hole! I'm sure it was because rolls had been dropped. Anyway, it was fun.

No. I have not hit 400 coins in one hunt. I thought it meant total.
Scratch that. I'll revote 100 coins..

My best is 215 in 6 hours. Sandy soil. Over 200 coins 5 times. It is awesome, when I do it. I don,t go far when I get another hit. Next thing I know my pocket is bulging and I have over 200 coins. Time flies when you get in the zone.

I've done it a few days. I'm mostly looking for old coins, not clad, but every so often I get the urge, usually when the weather is perfect and I have nowhere special to go. It's not hard to get 100 coins if you set your mind to doing it - especially with a few schools and parks on your list.

If you are a clad hunter and you cant find 100+ coins in a 4 hour hunt, then you're doing it wrong.

Heck, I've had days where I've hit a choice spot that hasn't been hit by an explorer before and found 50-75 OLD coins in a day, and then another 50+ modern coins that just happened to be deep.

So if you aren't finding much clad (and you are a clad hunter), then move on to greener pastures.

250 coins in one hunt, at a beach on New Years Eve, in horizontal sleet and freezing rain, in about 4 hours. No telling how many I would have found if the weather had been nice.

Like "seas" said, I have had way to many 100+ coin hunts to remember.

I had a 492 or so, 4 day total once. I also had a 1000 coin, 13 day total once. I had a 100+ coin "single hit" once(all pennies in one spot).
