A quick look at a coin catalogue will show a heck of a lot more coinage types than I've ever found. I think it would be interesting to see how many others have found, as well as what part of the country (or other nations) you found them in.

Here's a few of mine:

Mercury dime
Roosevelt dime
Seated Liberty quarter
Standing Liberty quarter
Washington quarter
Indian head cent
Lincoln Memorial cent
V nickel
Jefferson nickel
Jefferson silver nickel
Eisenhower dollar
Sacagawea dollar

Foreign:
Irish cent (1987)
Mexican cinco centavo
Canadian cent
Canadian nickel
Canadian silver dime

So ... 17 types that I'm willing to share with TNetters. Not a lot of variety, right? So ... here's your chance to show how many types your willing to share with us.

Lincoln cent
Wheat cent
Indain cent
3 cent silver
Jefferson nickel
Buffalo nickel
Half Dime
Roosevelt dime
silver Roosevelt dime
Mercury Dime
Barber Dime
Seated Dime
State Quarter
Washington Quarter
silver Washington Quarter
Barber Quarter
Seated Quarter
Walking Liberty Half
Barber Half
Sacagawea Dollar
Seated Dollar
Trade Dollar

I beleive this is it of the US coins 22 different. I don't coin my foreign coins......Matt

It would be a small project for me to figure this one out. I would have to think somewhere between 50-70, but it also depends on what is considered as different, and for me what is considered a coin (vs a token). Some day I would like to organize my finds to pick out the best example of each but never get around to that.

Lincoln cent
Wheat Cent
Indian Cent
Large Cent
2 Cent
Jefferson Nickel
War Nickel
Buffalo Nickel
V Nickel
Shield Nickel
Seated Half Dime
Silver Rosie
Mercury Dime
Barber Dime
Washington Quarter
Silver Washington Quarter
Standing Liberty Quarter
Barber Quarter
Walking Liberty Half

Canadian Cent
and a few other foreign types
